  • Today, November 13 is Project HOPE Sunday!  The following items are needed for Project HOPE: Canned Soup and Crackers or any other nonperishable items are welcomed.  Monetary donations are also accepted; please make checks payable to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to our HOPE Representative:  Ruth Ann Herman.

  • Today is the deadline to submit information for the December 2016 newsletter.  The December 2016 newsletter will be passed out on Sunday, November 27.

  • Today is the deadline to place your order for the Evangelism candle fundraiser.  The money collected from the candles will help cover mission donations and projects.  The 8 oz. candles are from Adam’s Creek Candles.  The candle orders can be picked up at the church on Sunday, December 4. 

  • Presbyterian Women Thank Offering Sunday is November 20.

  • Young Adult Bible Study will meet on Monday, November 21, 6:30 pm at MOCO House.

  • Any information needed to be included in The First Sunday of Advent, November 27 bulletin, pleaseturn it into the office no later than 9:30 am on Tuesday, November 22. 

  • Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday:  The church offices will be closed on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25.

  • Holy Communion will be celebrated on the First Sunday of Advent, Nov. 27.

  • A Congregational Meeting will be held Sunday, November 27, immediately following worship.  The purpose of this meeting is to elect officers for 2017.  The slate of officers for a (3 year term) is: Elders:  Eric Patton and Jay Patton.  Deacons:  Sally Martin, Janice Young    Nominating Committee for 2017:   Sally Cunningham, Howard Leslie, Rhodell Magnone, and Brunita McKim.  Auditor:  Miriam Gwin.   We will also approve updates to the church’s bylaws. 

  • Project HOPE Christmas Project:  There is 56 families in the Mohawk area who will be receiving joy this season from HOPE.  Ruth Ann Herman is willing to do the shopping and wrapping for her families, but we need to money for these gifts.  Please give your monetary donation to Ruth Ann Herman in November so she has lots of time to shop and have items ready to give her families on December 10.

  • Project HOPE is also asking for donations of all sizes of hats, gloves, and mittens.  A tree is placed in the Narthex for these items until Sunday, December 4.  Your donations will be given to the families in need.


Local Happenings

  •     Bethel’s Annual Bazaar is Saturday, November 19 from 9AM-3PM.  We will have crafts and indoor     yard sale.  Shop treasures galore and come hungry for         Oram's donuts, homemade soup, bread and more.  Benefits Project H.O.P.E.

  •    The Music Club Chorus of New Castle invites us to join them as we celebrate our 76th Presentation of George Frideric Handel’s oratorio masterwork, The Messiah on Sunday, November 27, 3 pm at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church in New Castle, PA.
