Christmas Program presented by our Sunday Light Classes

Today our Sunday Light classes will present their Christmas program to the congregation during worship.
The following items are needed for Project HOPE: Cereals, Pancake Mix and Syrup or any other nonperishable items are welcomed. Monetary donations are also accepted; please make checks payable to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to our HOPE Representative: Ruth Ann Herman.
This year’s Christmas offering goes to support hunger relief in South Sudan. We are asking each person to consider giving 5 % of what they spend on Christmas toward the offering. Please put your donation in the Mission Envelope found in the pew rack. It will be received through next Sunday, December 25.
Our Christmas Eve Candlelight and Communion service will be held on Saturday, December 24 at 10:45 pm.
Worship will be held on Sunday, Christmas Day at 10:45 am. It will feature a service of lessons and carols with communion. There will be no Sunday LIGHT and no Nursery.
Holiday Hours: The church offices will be closed on Friday, December 23 and also on Friday December 30. It will be open for regular hours otherwise during the Christmas/New Year’s Holiday week.
The last day for gifts to be recorded for the year 2016 statement is due by the close of worship next Sunday, Christmas Day, December 25. First Presbyterian Church presents a Musical Celebration of Christmas entitled: “O Come, All Ye Faithful” is this evening, December 18 at 7:00 pm. Refreshments will follow. All donations will be given to the City Rescue Mission.
- Christmas Caroling at MoCo: Bethel Church is hosting the caroling this year at MoCo, but ALL are welcome to join! Stop by on Monday, December 19th, from 6:30 pm-9 pm to join in the caroling and grab a warm drink!
Important Information for 2017
Sunday, January 1 New Year’s Day: Sunday Light at 9:30 AM followed by Divine Worship at 10:45 AM.
The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sunday, January 1. Please prepare your hearts and minds accordingly.
The Loose Offering will go to the Deacons’ to aid in their ministry on Sunday, January 1.
The Deacons will meet Monday, January 2 at 6:00 pm.
The Annual Calendar Planning meeting will be held on Monday, January 2 at 6:15 pm. All committee chairs and activity presidents are invited to attend.
The Session will meet Monday, January 2 at 7:00 pm.
Attention Treasurers: Please turn your Financial Reports and Books to the office by Sunday, January 8.
The church treasurer’s books will be audited the week of January 8-15.
We will ordain and Install church officers for 2017 during worship on Sunday, January 8.
The Annual Reports will be passed out on Sunday, January 22.
The Annual Congregational Meeting is Sunday, January 29. The congregation at that time will vote to receive the 2016 financial reports and approve 2017 Pastoral Terms of Call.
4G Young Adult Bible Study will meet on Monday, January 30.
