  •  CELEBRATE SUDAN:  You are invited to this annual event today, September 25. 4 pm at East Main Church in Grove City.  Join us for a time of inspirational stories, music and prayer for Sudan and South Sudan.  There will be child care and refreshments.  Donations will go to education in both countries.

  • 4G Bible Study will meet Monday, September 26, 6:30 pm at MOCO House.

  • Presbytery will meet Tuesday, September 27, 6:30 pm at Camp Crestfield in Slippery Rock, PA

  • Next Sunday, October 2 is World Communion Sunday.  Holy Communion will be celebrated!

  • The Loose Offering will go to the Deacons’ to aid in their ministry next Sunday, October 2.

  • Deacons meeting is Monday, October 3 at 6:00 pm.

  • A Joint meeting of the Deacons and the Session is Monday, October 3 at 6:30 pm.

  • Session meeting is Monday, October 3 at 7:00 pm.

  • Presbyterian Women’s Doing Without Bank Offering will be collected on Sunday, October 9, 2016.    1/3 goes to City Rescue Mission, 1/3 Mercer Food Bank, and 1/3 to Presbyterian Hunger Fund.

  • Sunday, October 9 is Project HOPE Sunday!  Project HOPE is our local community foodbank.  The following items are needed: Canned Soup and Crackers or any other nonperishable items are welcomed.  Monetary donations are also accepted; please make checks payable to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to our HOPE Representative:  Ruth Ann Herman.

  • Presbyterian Women’s Fall Gathering will be at First Presbyterian Church in Sharon on Saturday, October 15.  Registration forms are available on the Narthex table.

  • Mission/Evangelism Committee meeting is Saturday, October 15, 11:00 am at MOCO House.

  • The Congregational Life Committee is planning to sponsor a booth at the Bessemer Fireman's Fair the weekend of October 21-22.  Watch the bulletin for further details.

  • “It's that time of year!!”  We will be planning for our annual Ham loaf Dinner coming in November. Save the date: November 12, 2016.  Watch the bulletin for further details. Any questions, please see Karen Hutch or Roberta Gibson.

  • The Mission/Evangelism Committee is collecting items for Operation Christmas Child. The collection will continue throughout the year with every 3 months having a different designated item requested.  The following items are needed for the month of October:  school supplies, pencils, pens, rulers, erasers, small note pads, crayons, and small coloring books.  Please put your donations in the red bin under the MISSION Bulletin Board in the entry way.  Thank you.

  • Mt. Jackson Church will do a Fall Bible study on Sunday’s, 10/2, 10/16, 10/30, 11/6, and 11/20 from       6 pm.-7:30 pm.  They will do a series on:  The Reason for God.  How could a loving God send people to Hell? Why does he allow suffering? Can one religion be right and others wrong? We will affirm that our Christian faith is a sound rational belief as we tackle these questions and others.

  • The Tom Walker Family:  A Southern Gospel Group from New Castle, PA will present a concert on Sunday, November 6, 2016, 7:00 PM at our Church.   A Free Will Offering will be received!  Refreshments will follow!
