We welcome to our pulpit this morning, Rev. Elmarie Parker. Rev. Parker is a PC(USA) mission co-worker who, alongside her husband Scott, has served in Lebanon since 2013. She continues to serve as regional liaison for mission work in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq while Scott serves as Associate for Ecumenical Partnerships. Elmamarie facilitates PC (USA) support for partner programs, relationships and activities, and implements the PC (USA)'s international partnership strategy. She facilitates and seeks to strengthen healthy, effective and appropriate relationships with partner denominations and organizations in the region, and supports PC (USA) co-workers serving in this region in communications, information sharing, mentoring/guiding, encouraging, and reflection. Welcome, Elmamarie!
There will be a Coffee Hour after worship today in the overflow room next to the sanctuary.
4G Young Adult Retreat is this weekend Friday-Sunday, July 28-30!
Our church will be sponsoring a booth at the Bessemer Firemen’s Fair on Saturday, July 29. We are asking for monetary donations to help defray the cost. We will be selling Hot Dogs, Chips, Pie & Ice Cream, Pop and Water. Donations can be given to Karen Hutch or Roberta Gibson. The proceeds will go to the Church’s General Fund. Thank you in advance for helping to make this a profitable fund raiser for our church.
The following items are needed for Project HOPE: Canned Vegetables, and/or any other non-perishable items are welcomed. Monetary donations are also accepted; please make checks payable to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to our HOPE Representative: Ruth Ann Herman.
The following items are needed for the Project Hope Back to School Project: Erasers, Glue Sticks, Pencil Boxes, Pens, Pencils, Expo Markers, Spiral Notebooks and Backpacks. Monetary donations are most welcome; please make checks payable to Project HOPE and give to Ruth Ann Herman, our HOPE representative. Thank you in advance for your support! Session Picnic for the Session members and their Families at Pastor Nathan’s home (530 South Main Street, Bessemer, PA) on Wednesday, August 2 at 6:00 pm.
The Sacrament of the Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sunday, August 6. Therefore prepare your hearts and lives accordingly making proper confession and amends with God and your neighbors.
The Loose Offering will go to the Deacons’ to aid in their ministry on Sunday, August 6.
We are on Summer Worship Schedule until Sunday, August 20. Worship at 10:00 am.
Pastor Nathan is on vacation through Thursday, July 27. Pastor Nathan will be at the Young Adult retreat this weekend Friday, July 28-Sunday, July 30. He will resume his duties on Monday, July 31. Funeral coverage will be provided by Paul Hawkins.

The Officers of the Mohawk Area Alumni Association have met to discuss the upcoming 9th Reunion to be held on Saturday, August 5 at 6 pm in the Mohawk High School Cafeteria. The Class of 1966 will be in charge of the Registration and the Class of 1968 will be in charge of the Refreshments. The Class of 1967 will be the Honorees.
