  • Today, we welcome as our new accompanist, Mr. Nathan Parrott!  Nathan is no stranger to our congregation, as his first paid accompanist job was as at Bessemer Presbyterian Church several years ago.  He has also filled in for us on occasion over the years since.  Nathan grew up in the Mohawk community and is a graduate of both Grove City and Geneva Colleges.  In addition to work as a substitute teacher, Nathan has also worked in food service, currently as a Crew Member/Crew Trainer at Chic-fil-A.  He also enjoys dance and has worked as a dance teacher and choreographer as well.  We are delighted to welcome him back to our congregation to share his talents with us and assist us in our worship of God.  Welcome Nathan, and God bless!

  • The Loose Offering today, October 1 will go to the Deacons’ to aid in their ministry.  

  • The Evangelism and Missionary Committee will be taking a special offering for Celebrate Sudan today, October 1 and next Sunday, October 8.

  • Celebrate Sudan will be hosting an event at MoCo House today, October 1 at 6pm.  All are welcome to attend!  A speaker from South Sudan will also be joining.  Food and Drinks will be provided/available.  Any loose offering collected that night will go to our sister church in South Sudan, The South Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical Church, to help provide hunger relief. 

  • Fall Book Study:  Monday, October 2 and Wednesday, October 4, 10 am at MOCO House.  We will meet every other week.  The book we are studying is "A Praying Life: Connecting with God in a Distracting World" by Paul Miller.  Books and reading schedules will be available on Sunday at church and the cost is $12.  All are welcome to join us.    

  • Deacons meeting is Wednesday, October 4 at 6:00 pm.

  • A Joint meeting of the Deacons and the Session is Wednesday, October 4 at 6:30 pm.

  • Session meeting is Wednesday, October 4 at 7:00 pm.

  • Doing Without Banks will be collected next Sunday, October 8.

  • Fall Gathering will be Saturday, October 21 at Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church.  8:30 am Registration and Program at 9 am.  Please send registration in by Tuesday, October 10 to Nancy Aubel.

  • Next Sunday, October 8 is Project HOPE Sunday!  The following items are needed for Project HOPE: Peanut Butter and Jelly, and/or any other non-perishable items are welcomed.  Monetary donations are also accepted; please make checks payable to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to our HOPE Representative:  Ruth Ann Herman.

  • Bessemer Presbyterian CLICK is hosting a Halloween Extravaganza for the whole community.  Join us Sunday, October 29 from 4-6 pm for Trunk or Treat in the parking lot, along with Food, Games, and Prizes.  There will also be a chance to sign up for our new and improved “CLICK” youth group coming in November.  All are invited!

Golf Outing to benefit MoCo House is next Saturday, Oct 7 at Tanglewood Golf Course, Pulaski, PASign up forms for golfers and hole sponsors are available at the coffee house with all the details!

Ham Loaf Dinner

Our Ham Loaf Dinner is Saturday, October 21 from 5 pm-7 pm.  The cost is Adults $ 10.00, Children 6-12 $ 5.00 and 5 and under are FREE.  A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.  For tickets call the church office 724-667-7255.  The proceeds from the Ham Loaf Dinner will go to the General Fund.  All money, reservations and unsold tickets for the Ham Loaf Dinner must be returned to Roberta Gibson no later than Sunday, October 15.

We are asking for donations to defray the cost.  Please see the sign-up sheet in the Narthex for donation items and volunteering.  All donations need to be here by Thursday, October 19.  Any monetary donations can be given to Karen Hutch or Roberta Gibson.
