Announcements

  • The Loose Offering today (Easter Sunday), April 1 will go to the Deacons’ to aid in their ministry. 

  • The Deacons will meet this Wednesday, April 4 at 6:00 pm.

  • The Joint Boards of Deacons and Session will meet this Wednesday, April 4 at 6:30 pm.

  • The Session will meet this Wednesday, April 4 at 7:00 pm.

  • Project Hope Sunday is next Sunday, April 8!  The following items are needed for Project HOPE: Cake Mixes, Frosting, Pudding and Jell-O, and/or any other non-perishable items are welcomed. Monetary donations are also accepted; or checks made out to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to Ruth Ann Herman.

  • CLICK will meet next Sunday, April 8 and also April 22 from 4 pm-5:30 pm.

  • Mission/Evangelism Committee will meet on Saturday, April 21, 11 am at MOCO House.

  • PW Spring Gathering April 21, 2018 at North Liberty Pres Church in Grove City. Registration is at 8:30am.  Registration forms will be in the Narthex, and need to be returned by 4/10/2018 cost is $8 to reserve lunch. Presentation will be Clarrisa Boden and her glass harp, as well as the baby shower for Lily's Place.

  • New Song an  A Cappella Singing Group from Geneva College, will be presenting a concert on Sunday, April 15, 2 pm.  They will be sharing a variety of Psalms Set to music.  A free will offering will be taken!

  • Church Spring Clean Up Day is Saturday, April 21, 9 am.  Items needed:  Cleaning Supplies, and Trash Bags!  If you have any questions, speak to Jay Patton.

  • Young Adult Bible Study will meet Monday, April 30, 6:30 pm at MOCO House.

  • Interested in becoming a member of Bessemer Presbyterian Church?  Practically speaking, members of the church have a right to vote in congregational meetings and hold the office of elder and deacon.  Spiritually speaking, membership is an affirmation of one's faith in Jesus Christ, a commitment to living in community with one another, and a desire to participate in the life and witness of our congregation.   If you are interested in membership, please talk to Pastor Nathan.  He will provide you with information about the next steps for membership.  

  • Bessemer Presbyterian Church is so excited to be able to offer quality, affordable and faith based Preschool to the Mohawk and surrounding areas. We are now accepting registration for the 2018-2019 school year.  Please speak to Mary Kay Leslie if you have a child between the ages of 3-5 years old.  You may also call the preschool phone number 724-667-4130 and leave a message. 

Local Happenings

  • Attention Parents and Children:  Beverly Whalen, the Instructor from The ART Barn in Enon Valley invites you to paint together to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at The Art Barn-685 Heron Dr., Enon Valley, PA.  When:  Tuesday, April 3, 6 pm-8 pm.  If you want more information on this event, please contact Beverly Whalen 724-336-3695.  The painting is called “The Three Crosses.  See our Facebook Page “The Art Barn.”
  • Mt. Jackson church will sponsor a 4 week bible study that will feature the story of Bart Millard, singer-songwriter for Mercy Me. He tells how God transformed his father from a monster into a Godly man.  This study will lead you on a redemptive journey to recall the past, reorient your present identity and reimagine your future.  There will be DVD segments, bible study and open discussion.  The series will start Sunday April 22 and conclude May 13.  Time is 6 pm until 7:30pm.  Refreshments will be offered at the beginning of each class.  Any questions call Steve at 724-654-9167.
