Announcements

  • Today is Project Hope Sunday!  The following items are needed for Project HOPE: Cake Mixes, Frosting, Pudding and Jell-O, and/or any other non-perishable items are welcomed. Monetary donations are also accepted; or checks made out to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to Ruth Ann Herman.

  • PW women meeting is Wednesday, March 14, 6pm at MoCo House.  Come for devotions, meeting and fellowship. 

  • PW will be supporting the 2018 Synod Mission Project Lily's Place. Lily's Place is a facility that meets the needs of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) with a 14 room facility in Huntington West Virginia.  At the Presbyterian Women's Spring Gathering they will be having a Baby Shower collecting items for Lily's Place. The items on their Wish List are as follows: Diapers sizes 1, 2, 3, and 4, Diaper wipes, Sensory toys for infants, Dreft, Tide All-Clear Laundry Detergent, Hand Soap, Paper Towels (Rolls), Self-Seal Envelopes, Yellow Highlighters, Dry Erase Markers, and White Out. There will be a box in the Narthex for the Month of March.  We appreciate your help with this project.

  • The Evangelism and Mission Committee will meet this Saturday, March 17, 11 am at MOCO House.

  • The deadline to submit information for the March 2018 newsletter is next Sunday, March 18.  The March 2018 newsletter will be passed out on Sunday, March 25.

  • The Evangelism and Missionary Committee will be hosting a small continental breakfast next Sunday, March 18.  Come and grab a small treat and head off to your Sunday School class (or hang around for short fellowship).  The breakfast will be out from 9 am-9:30 am with our kids serving.  The cost?  Please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Project HOPE.

Preschool Registration for 2018-2019

Bessemer Presbyterian Church is so excited to be able to offer quality, affordable and faith based Preschool to the Mohawk and surrounding areas. We are now accepting registration for the 2018-2019 school year.  Please speak to Mary Kay Leslie if you have a child between the ages of 3-5 years old.  You may also call the preschool phone number 724-667-4130 and leave a message. 

Ziti Dinner

Bessemer Rotary is sponsoring a Ziti Dinner on Sunday, March 18, 11:30 am-2 pm at Mohawk High Cafeteria.  The cost is $ 10.00 Adults, Children 12 and under $ 5.00.  Take Outs available.  Tickets are available from Sally Cunningham or Karen Hutch.  They’ll also be available at the door! Take Out is available!

HOLY Week-March 25-APRil 1

Palm Sunday:  Sunday Light at 9:30 am followed by Divine Worship at 10:45 am.  MACA Choir Festival,     3 pm at Westfield Church.   

 Mohawk Church Association Holy Week Services will be held at Mount Jackson Church, 6:45 am-7:15 am.

Maundy Thursday Service:  Dinner and Worship starting at 6 pm.  Communion will be celebrated.

 Good Friday Prayer Vigil:  The church will be open for private prayer and devotions from 9 am to 6 pm. 

Good Friday Community Service at 7:00 pm.  We will begin worship at First Covenant Church and end by carrying the cross to our church. 

Children’s Easter Egg Hunt at our church from 10:00-12:00 noon. 

The Easter Vigil will be held Saturday, March 31, 8 pm at our church. 

Easter Sunday:  Sunday Light at 9:30 followed by Divine Worship at 10:45 am.  Communion will be celebrated.
