  • Today, April 22 is the deadline to submit information for the May 2018 newsletter.  The May 2018 newsletter will be passed out next Sunday, April 29.

  • There is a Coffee Hour after worship today, April 22 in the over flow room.

  • CLICK will meet today, April 22 from 4 pm-5:30 pm.

  • Presbytery will meet at our church this Tuesday, April 24, 6:30 pm.

  • 4G Bible Study will meet Monday, April 30, 6:30 pm at MOCO House. 

  • Attention Ladies:  Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church invites us to Celebrate May Day with them on Tuesday, May 1st, 6 pm.  Come and celebrate May Day with supper and entertainment.  Wear your favorite Spring Hat and you MAY win valuable door prizes.  Bring your best friend and you MAY participate in exciting games.  Come for food and fellowship.  Prizes and surprises from the Women of Slippery Rock.  RSVP to Roberta Gibson or Sally Cunningham no later than this Friday, April 27.  

  • CPR/First Aid Training:   Our church will host a CPR / First Aid Training class here at our church on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 8 am-12 pm.  The cost is $12 per person, which covers the cost of the cards and the trainer.  Please see Mary Kay Leslie for more info.  There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex if you're interested.  All are welcome!

  • The following items are needed for Project HOPE: Canned Vegetables, and/or any other non-perishable items are welcomed. Monetary donations are also accepted; or checks made out to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to Ruth Ann Herman.

  • Interested in becoming a member of Bessemer Presbyterian Church?  If you are interested in membership, please let Pastor Nathan by next Sunday, April 29.  He will provide you with information about the next steps for membership.

  • Bessemer Presbyterian Church is offering quality, affordable and faith based Preschool to the Mohawk and surrounding areas. Registrations are still available for the 2018-2019 school year.  Please speak to Mary Kay Leslie if you have a child between the ages of 3-5 years old or call the preschool 724-667-4130 and leave a message. 

 Local Happenings

  • Mt. Jackson Church will host a 4 week bible study on Sunday’s beginning today, April 22-Sunday, May 13 from 6 pm-7:30 pm.  Refreshments will be served.  Any questions call Pastor Steve 724-654-9167.

  • Koinonia Gospel Team, a musical group from Grove City College, a group dedicated to ministry through song. They will be presenting a program on Sunday, April 29, 2 pm at Westfield.

  • JAVA JOG:  Please note that Mohawk Coffee House (MoCo House) will host the annual 5K/2 mile Java Jog as one of its major fund raisers on Memorial Day. Sponsors, as well as participants, will be needed for this fun community event! Bessemer is THE place to be at 8:30 am, May 28th, before the rest of your holiday activities! More details to follow.   • Attention Teens:  Dungeons and Dragons, Saturday, April 28, 11 am-4 pm.  Come and learn the basics of the different games while you play!  Class will be taught by a team of teens, not boring librarians!  Snacks provided to keep your game on point.

  • Art Therapy, Saturday, April 28, 2 pm.  Learn how to paint an easy seascape in acrylics.  All ages welcome!

  • Musicians needed for Summer Reading:  The Summer Reading Program for 2018 is “Libraries Rock!” and focuses on music of all kinds.  *Do you play a unique instrument?  Are you a student who owns an electric guitar and needs community service hours and looking for an audience for your karaoke skills?  Call us 724-667-7939.  Program runs in June- July, many performance dates available!
