Today, June 10 is Project HOPE Sunday! The following items are needed: Paper Products (Kleenex, Napkins, Paper Towels, and Toilet Paper) and/or any other non-perishable items are welcomed. Monetary donations are also accepted; or checks made out to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to Ruth Ann Herman.
Presbyterian Women will meet this Wednesday, June 13, 6pm at MoCo House. We will have Devotions and our Business Meeting.
We have a limited number of our brown folding chairs left. Any member/regular attendee who wishes to have some are welcome to take them. Donations to the General Fund in return are welcome. The chairs will be available through next Sunday, June 17.
The deadline to submit information for the July/August 2018 newsletter is next Sunday, June 17. The July/August 2018 newsletter will be passed out on Sunday, June 24.
Presbytery meeting is Tuesday, June 26, 6:30 pm at Christ Church in Ellwood City, PA.
The Loose Offering will go to the Deacons' to aid in their ministry on Sunday, July 1.
Church Offices Closed
- Due to the 4th of July Holiday: The church offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 3 and Wednesday, July 4 for Independence Day. The church office will be back open on Thursday, July 5.
4G Retreat at Shenango Lake from Thursday, July 5-Sunday, July 8.
We are on Summer Worship Schedule until Sunday, August 19. Worship at 10:00 am.
Pastor Nathan is on vacation from Saturday, June 9 through Saturday, June 16. In case of an emergency from Saturday, June 9-Saturday, June 23, please contact Clerk of Session, Howard Leslie 724-336-3554. Pastor Nathan is on Study Leave from Sunday, June 17-Saturday, June 23. He will resume his duties on Sunday, June 24.
Bessemer Presbyterian Church is currently enrolling for the 2018-2019 school year. BPP serves children ages 3 (by September 1) through 5 living in the Bessemer/Mohawk and surrounding areas. The 3/4 year old class will meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9 am-12 noon and the 4/5 year old class will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am-12 noon. At full enrollment each class will serve to meet the needs of 15 children. Registrations are still available for the 2018-2019 school year. Please speak to Mary Kay Leslie if you have a child between the ages of 3-5 years old or call the preschool @ 724-667-4130 and leave a message.
The Officers of the Mohawk Area Alumni Association have met to discuss the up and coming 10th Reunion to be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018, 6 pm in the Mohawk High School Cafeteria. The Class of 1967 will be in charge of registration and the Class of 1969 will be in charge of Refreshments. The Class of 1968 will be the Honorees. Bessemer Community Picnic
A Community Worship Service and Picnic will be held on Sunday, July 1 at Kennedy Park on East Poland Ave. next to the Borough Building. A sign-up sheet is on the narthex bulletin board by the front door, so you can help with the food. Community Worship with our local churches at 10 am followed by a picnic lunch at 12:00 noon. Please come to enjoy a bite to eat, a time to talk, and some games for kids, young and old! Bring your own chair!
