We are hosting visitors on Sunday, October 7. Felicia is from New Castle and Jacob is from Barahona, Dominican Republic. They are a happily married couple who felt God's calling in Barahona; this is a very rural part of the DR that does not get any kind of government assistance (as the resorts are on the other side of the island). Felicia and Jacob have started a few different programs for the people of Barahona - such as sponsorships for school uniforms - and they have MANY plans for the future. They are coming to BPC to help us kick off a new Christmas Project - we want the congregation to sponsor one (or more) of the children from their hometown (and a few surrounding) and buy them one special Christmas gift. Felicia and Jacob will explain more! They will be taking over the Sunday School hour (and a light breakfast will be provided!) and then also be part of the church service, with a coffee hour to follow. They are a wonderful young couple who have taken up this mission on their own and are very deserving of our time and prayers. I'm hopeful we can start to partner with them through their journey!
