Graduates will be recognized during our 10:00 am worship on Sunday, June 2.
The Loose Offering today, June 2 will go to the Deacons' to aid in their ministry.
Pastor Nathan and Pastor John Lersch will be co-leading a six week Bible Study on the book of Daniel starting Monday, June 3 at 9:30 am and every Monday through July 8 at MOCO House.
The Session will meet this Wednesday, June 5 at 7:00 pm.
There is a sign-up sheet on the narthex table, so you can help with the food and supplies for the Community Picnic at Kennedy Park in Bessemer on Sunday, June 23.
Next Sunday, June 9 is Project HOPE Sunday! The following items are needed for Project HOPE: Hygiene products (toothpaste, soap, and deodorant, and shampoo) or any other non-perishable items are welcomed. Monetary donations are also accepted; please make checks payable to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to our HOPE Representative: Ruth Ann Herman.
Presbyterian Women will meet Wednesday, June 12, 6 pm at MOCO House. We will have devotions, fellowship and the business meeting.
Presbyterian Women is conducting three different projects: A Shoe Drive for Mission, Bags to Bed, and Pillowcase Project. More information about these projects are on the bulletin board in the narthex.
Rev. Tut Kong will present on his work with Sudanese and South Sudanese Refugees at the Mohawk Coffee House tonight, Sunday June 2nd at 6:30 pm. Rev. Kong was born in South Sudan and forced to flee his home as a child. He attended Bible School in Cairo and later received his M.Div. and Th.M. degrees from the Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary (JETS), in Amman, Jordan. His passion is bringing denominations together for greater kingdom impact, and training and equipping grassroots leaders. Rev. Tut pioneered work in Darfur, worked on the campus of the Gerief Bible School in Khartoum, planted churches, and served as the founding moderator of the South Sudan Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Come join us to learn more!

Summer Reading Kickoff: Saturday, June 10, 11 am. Join us this summer as we travel the world and learn about different cultures, celebrations, and people. Enjoy tasty snacks from places like Poland, Ukraine, China, and Romania; create folk art from Croatia, India, and Africal learn songs from around the globe and MORE! Our program is called “A Universe of Stories.” We will have cotton candy, and Goodie Bags.

Thursday, June 20: Dinner at the Panda Palace by Stephanie Calmenson. Let’s take a trip to CHINA! Try some tasty Chinese snacks and make a cherry blossom painting. Thursday, June 27: Rot, The Cutest in the World by Ben Clanton. Croatia is calling, let’s go! Enjoy some Croatian licitar to take home! What’s a licitar?? Come to story time to find out! Story time is open to kids of all ages!
Community Yard Sale (Entire Borough of Bessemer): Saturday, June 22, 8 am-? Stop at the library or call 724-667-7939 to sign up! Cotton Candy Sale at the Library. There will be a Lunch Stand at Kennedy Park.
Vacation Bible School will be held over two days this year: Thursday, June 20 and Friday, June 21 from 4:30 pm-7:30 pm each evening. We will also serve dinner each evening. The closing program will be Friday, June 21 at 7:30 pm followed by an ice cream social. This year, we will saddle up for a trailblazing weekend of fun! Kids will kick up their heels at Yee Haw VBS as they stampede through the wild frontier and celebrate the greatest truth of all--God is good! Children who are potty-trained through age 10 are welcome to join us.
A Free Community Worship Service and Picnic will be held on Sunday, June 23 at Kennedy Park on East Poland Ave. next to the Borough Building. Community Worship with our local churches at 10 am followed by a picnic lunch at 12:00 noon. Please come to enjoy a bite to eat, a time to talk, and some games for kids, young and old! Bring your own chair!
