DON'T FORGET! We have pledged to support our South Sudan brothers and sisters in Christ in financially supporting their goals of building and sustaining churches. Any donations given to Missions today, June 16, will go towards their dream of permanent places to worship the Lord with trained (and paid) pastors to guide them through these times of difficult economical transitions. Coffee hour will follow worship today, June 16.
Pastor Nathan and Pastor John Lersch will be co-leading a six week Bible Study on the book of Daniel. Our next meeting is Monday, June 17, 9:30 am at MOCO House. We will meet every Monday through July 8.
Bessemer VBS is this Thursday, June 20 and Friday, June 21 from 4:30 pm-7:30 pm. Applications are available on the narthex table.
There is a sign-up sheet on the narthex table, so you can help with the food and supplies for the Community Picnic at Kennedy Park in Bessemer next Sunday, June 23.
Presbyterian Women is conducting three different projects: A Shoe Drive for Mission, Bags to Bed, and Pillowcase Project. More information about these projects are on the bulletin board in the narthex.
Presbytery meeting is Tuesday, June 25, 6:30 pm at North Liberty Church in Grove City, PA.
The Congregational Life Committee is sponsoring a booth at the Bessemer Fireman’s Festival on Saturday, July 13. Beginning Sunday, June 30 there will be a sign-up sheet in the bulletin for donations of 8” or 9” Homemade Pies (No Cream Pies). We are also asking the congregation for monetary donations to help defray the cost of our supplies. Please give your monetary donation to Roberta Gibson, and Mickie Snyder.
The following items are needed for Project HOPE: Hygiene products (toothpaste, soap, and deodorant, and shampoo) or any other non-perishable items are welcomed. Monetary donations are also accepted; please make checks payable to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to our HOPE Representative: Ruth Ann Herman.
The Loose Offering will go to the Deacons' to aid in their ministry on Sunday, July 7.
A Free Community Worship Service and Picnic will be held on Sunday, June 23 at Kennedy Park on East Poland Ave. next to the Borough Building. Community Worship with our local churches at 10 am followed by a picnic lunch at 12:00 noon. Please come to enjoy a bite to eat, a time to talk, and some games for kids, young and old! Bring your own chair!
