Announcements

  • DON'T FORGET! We have pledged to support our South Sudan brothers and sisters in Christ in financially supporting their goals of building and sustaining churches.  Any donations given to Missions today, July 21st will go towards their dream of permanent places to worship the Lord with trained (and paid) pastors to guide them through these times of difficult economical transitions. Coffee hour will follow worship today..

  • The following items are needed for Project HOPE: Hygiene products (toothpaste, soap, and deodorant, and shampoo) or any other non-perishable items are welcomed.  Monetary donations are also accepted; please make checks payable to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to our HOPE Representative:  Ruth Ann Herman.

  • Presbyterian Women is conducting three different projects:  A Shoe Drive for Mission, Bags to Bed, and Pillowcase Project.  More information about these projects are on the bulletin board in the narthex.

  • Pastor Nathan will be on vacation from this Wednesday, July 24-Monday, August 5.  He will resume his duties on Tuesday, August 6.   In case of an emergency from July 24-August 6, please contact Clerk of Session, Howard Leslie at 724-336-3554.  

  • Project HOPE Back to School Project collection will run for the month of July.  Items needed:  Erasers, Glue Sticks, Pencil Boxes, Pens, Pencils, Expo Markers, Spiral Notebooks, and Backpacks.  Monetary donations are welcomed; please make checks payable to Project HOPE and give to Ruth Ann Herman, our HOPE representative.  All items are to be at the church by Sunday, August 4! 

  • There is just one opening left in the BPP Church’s 3/4 year old preschool class for the 2019-2020 school year.  The child must be 3 years old by September 1 and living in the Mohawk area.  The 3/4 year old class will meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9 am-12 noon.  The 4/5 year old class will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9 am-12 noon.  Please speak to Mary Kay Leslie if you have a child between the ages of 3/4 year old or call the preschool, 724-667-4130 and leave a message.  The first day of school for the 3/4 year old class is Tuesday, September 3.  The first day of school for the 4-5 year old class is Wednesday, September 4.   The 4/5 year old preschool class is full!

  • Story Time:  Thursday, July 25:  Come visit Romania with us!  We’ll read “Country Bear’s Good Neighbor”, paint some traditional Romanian wooden spoons, and enjoy some Romanian food.  Story Time is open to kids of all ages!    

  •  Art Therapy:  Saturday, July 27, 1 pm.  Come and paint this beautiful hummingbird canvas, please RSVP 724-667-7939!  This class is open to all ages, all supplies are provided, and classes are Free of charge
