Sunday Light began the 2019-2020 church year this morning, August 25. There will be four classes: Preschool: Rhodell Magnone; Roberta Gibson, and Mickie Snyder. Kindergarten-Grade 3: Betsy Barr and Mary Kay Leslie. Grades 4-9: Rev. Nathan Leslie and Miriam Gwin. Adult Class: Tina Leslie.
Holy Communion will be celebrated next Sunday, September 1.
The Loose Offering will go to the Deacons’ to aid in their ministry next Sunday, September 1.
Deacons will meet Wednesday, September 4 at 6 pm.
Session will meet Wednesday, September 4 at 7 pm.
Pastor Nathan and Rev. John Lersch are going to be co-leading a Fall Bible Study on the book of Hebrews. We will gather on Monday, September 16, 9:30 a.m. at MoCo House and every Monday through the end of October.
You are cordially invited to attend an APPLE DUMPLING ASSEMBLY PARTY! This is such a fun event we’re having it for 2 days: You may come either of these days or both days: 1. Saturday, September 21st from 9 am-? 2. Wednesday, September 25th from 4 pm-? We will supply snacks, water, and lunch/dinner! If you have them, bring a rolling pin and pastry cutter! You will get a bit messy and be on your feet, but it’s always a fun time!
The following items are needed for Project HOPE: Paper Products (Kleenex, Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, and Napkins) or any other non-perishable items are welcomed. Monetary donations are also accepted; please make checks payable to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to our HOPE Representative: Ruth Ann Herman.
Presbyterian Women is conducting three different projects: A Shoe Drive for Mission, Bags to Bed, and Pillowcase Project. More information about these projects are on the bulletin board in the narthex.
Presbyterian Women will meet Wednesday, Sept 11, 6 pm at MoCo House, for devotions, fellowship and business meeting.
Nominating Committee will meet Wednesday, September 11, 6 pm at the church.
Presbyterian Women Doing without Bank envelopes will be passed out on Sunday, September 15 with collection date on Sunday, October 13.
The Giving Hands Foundation is starting their annual back-to-school sponsorship, which is a one-time donation of $20 per student to cover their uniform bottoms (pants or skirt), shoes, socks, notebooks, and pencils.
