Announcements  

  • Rev. John Lersch and Pastor Nathan are leading a fall Bible study on the book of Hebrews.  We will meet tomorrow, Monday, September 23, 9:30 a.m. at MoCo House. 

  • You are invited to an APPLE DUMPLING ASSEMBLY PARTY!    We will make the dumplings this Wednesday, September 25 from 4 pm-?  We will supply snacks, water, and lunch/dinner!  If you have them, bring a rolling pin and pastry cutter!    

  • We will begin taking orders for 6 oz. Frozen Homemade Ham Loaves and Sauce at a cost of $ 3.00 each.  There are three ways to place your order.  1. An order sheet is available on the narthex table, 2. Call the church office @ 724-667-7255, 3.  Or you can place the order at Mohawk Coffee House.  All Ham Loaf orders and money must be returned to Mickie Snyder no later than Sunday, October 27.  Pickup Dates:  Saturday, November 15 from 9 am-12 noon or Sunday, November 16 from 12 noon-2 pm.           

  • Today, September 22 is the deadline to submit information for the October 2019 newsletter.  The October 2019 newsletter will be passed out next Sunday, September 29.

  • BYG (Bessemer Youth Group) (For All Ages Pre-K-Jr. High) meets every 4th Sunday from

     4:30 pm-5:30 pm.  Dinner is provided!  First meeting is this evening, September 22. 

  • 4G Bible Study will meet this Thursday, September 26, 6:30 pm at MOCO House.

  • Deacons meeting is Wednesday, October 2 at 6:00 pm.

  • Session meeting is Wednesday, October 2 at 7:00 pm.

  • Sunday, October 6 is World Communion Sunday.  Holy Communion will be celebrated!

  • The Loose Offering will go to the Deacons’ to aid in their ministry on Sunday, October 6.

  • The following items are needed for Project HOPE:  Paper Products (Kleenex, Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, and Napkins) or any other non-perishable items are welcomed.  Monetary donations are accepted; please make checks payable to Project HOPE Food Bank, and give to our representative:  Ruth Herman.

  • Presbyterian Women’s Shoe Drive for Mission has been extended to Sunday, October 13.

Local Happenings

  • Mohawk Coffee House Volunteer Open House Informational Meeting this Tuesday, September 24 from 6 pm-7 pm.

  • Do you have a heart for praying for your kids and for Mohawk School?  Then please join our group called Moms in Prayer International.  We meet at MOCO House on Mondays at 7 PM.  We are a group of moms that spend one hour lifting our kids and our school to the Lord in prayer.  For more information call Janice Grim 724-730-6846

  • North Beaver Fire Department Braised Steak Dinner is Sunday, October 6, 11:30 am-2 pm at the Mount Jackson Fire Hall.  The cost is Adults-$ 13.00, Children 6-12 $ 6.00, and Children 5 and under are Free.  Dine in or carry out.

  • Bessemer Mohawk Rotary Club Ziti dinner is Sunday, October 20, 11:30 am.-2 pm at Mohawk High Cafeteria.  Dine in or carry out.  Tickets are available from Sally Cunningham or at the door.  The cost is: Adults:  $10 and Children under 12:  $ 5.  

Office Hours

  • Effective, Tuesday, October 1:  The church office hours will be changing.  The church office will be open on Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00 am-1:00 pm.
